26. August 2014 The new DOKON H-series

The development of a specialist

In times of increasing costs for energy as well as waste disposal, the importance of “waste-to-energy” becomes increasingly important and powerful. The DOKON baling press is specially designed to fulfill the high demands of companies who process RDF (refuse derived fuel) and SRF (solid recovered fuel).

Numerous RDF and SRF processing companies are already taking benefits out of the high economic efficiency the DOKON offers to them. Bale weights of up to 1.5 tons can be acheived and a superior design which combines unrivalled levels of performance and reliability with the lowest possible operating costs. The biggest advantage of the DOKON baler is that it uses standard PP-twine instead of steel wire to tie the compacted RDF- and SRF-bales. Besides the facts that storage and handling are much more easy with twine, it simply reduces the whole tying costs by 50%!

The main focus in the development of the new DOKON-H was less energy consumption. Thus the H-Series is equipped exclusively with axial piston pumps of modern style. The power-regulated control of these pumps lead to higher throughput, for example only 55 kW instead of 75 kW. The optimized blade shape and the adaptation of the clearance space above the fixed knife result in a significantly reduced cutting force, thus less energy consumption. Further developments amongst other are the feeding opening for each material grade individually adjustable due to the position measuring system at the ram as well as the new PLC and the new operator panel from SIEMENS.
