Change of baler at long-standing PAAL customer in Venlo NL
The family-owned company Collin was founded in 1898 and is based in the Dutch city Venlo. Collin began by collecting glass and importing filling material for the glass industry and the furniture industry from Africa. Over the years recycling activities have increased significantly and countless services have been added. Since summer 2015 the company is led by the owner Ed Collin. Today around 45 qualified employees work at the recycling company, located which is on 7 hectares of company-owned premises. In over 120 years Collin has developed into a highly skilled waste processing company. In the meantime material flows of several hundred thousand tons per year are being handled. Since its existence the family business has been committed to a cleaner and better environment.
At the end of 2018 was commissioned a new baling line at Collin, where a number of PAAL machines are in operation. A 20 year old PAAL baling line has been replaced by a new channel baling press type KONTI X 500 i with a new feeding chain conveyor. The large-format, very high-throughput baler is designed with many additional features. Many paper and plastic grades can be securely tied with the 5-fold vertical tying unit. Difficult materials are additionally tied tightly with the horizontal tying unit. This ensures optimum stacking capacity and the highest storage capacity. The feeding conveyor was designed as a chain conveyor type KEF-1900. 1900 mm nominal conveyor width in combination with a 11 m horizontally below-floor feeding area and a strongly descending “swan neck” ensure high plant capacity.<- Back to: communications
